Moving from Lawson to CloudSuite
Plenty of health systems still run Lawson 9 and know they have to move. We've moved Lawson 9 HR, payroll and supply chain onto CloudSuite, and migrated millions of records without taking anything down.
What we do
- An inventory of what you really use in Lawson, including the custom programs and the reports people run every Monday
- Data conversion with Infor's Data Migration Accelerators and replication sets, run as many times as it takes
- Reconciliation that compares Lawson and CloudSuite results line by line
- Moving Lawson ProcessFlow work to IPA and old interfaces onto ION
- A cutover plan that someone has actually rehearsed
Where it usually goes wrong
The data is never as clean as anyone hopes. Years of Lawson history carry codes that meant one thing in 2012 and another in 2019, so we convert early and often and treat every mismatch as a question for the person who owns that data.
An example: Novant Health
Novant Health moved Lawson 9 HR, Lawson 9 payroll, Lawson 9 Mobile Supply Chain Management and PeopleSoft HR onto CloudSuite after a merger. We ran the migration with replication sets and Infor's Data Migration Accelerators, and nothing had to go down for it.
