Infor IPA and ION integrations
Every Infor tenant is surrounded by systems that need to hear from it, and IPA and ION are how they hear. For one health system alone we've written more than 25 IPA workflows and connected more than 20 systems to its CloudSuite.
What we do
- IPA workflows for approvals, onboarding, background checks and anything else that shouldn't live in a spreadsheet
- ION document flows, connection points and the ION API gateway
- Bank and vendor files, such as ACH payments for payables and payroll
- Clinical Bridge (Cloverleaf) interfaces between Infor and clinical systems
- Rebuilding old Lawson ProcessFlow work as IPA when you move to CloudSuite
Where it usually goes wrong
IPA makes it easy to build one workflow and hard to see what all of your workflows are doing together. We document every flow as we build it, and we set up alerts for the failures that matter, so a broken flow reaches a person before it reaches payroll.
An example: ANTHC
At the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Sterling background checks, Navex conflict-of-interest disclosures, bank ACH payments and retirement plan reporting all run through IPA and ION. The message traffic runs through ION and a central Data Lake, which is also where the reporting comes from.
